Buying a New PC?

8. Short-list three suppliers and it's decision time

Well, we have arrived at our final destination. A short-list of three suppliers and then down to one, and within no time the PC will be arriving at your doorstep. Shall we just recap quickly to ensure we have not missed anything?

  • Will the proposed specification meets your exact needs?
  • Is it within your budget? Have you negotiated the final price? Can you still get them to drop the price, or add more memory, or better speakers?
  • Have you compared the specifications of the PC's being offered by the vendors accurately?
  • Are you satisfied with the service the vendors are providing?
  • Have you checked the vendors web-site, and is the PC you are contemplating purchasing shown clearly as a model and is the pricing and specification exactly the same as your quotation?

Having investigated all options, you are now in a position to make your decision and place your order. Now it's time for the final (and most painful) part.
