Head to Head NVIDIA GeForce2 MX Graphic Cards

NVIDIA Shading Rasterizer (NSR)

NVIDIA's GeForce2 GTS - GPU was the first product of it's kind to provide hardware support for real-time per-pixel operations, by incorporating the new NVIDIA Shading Rasterizer. This feature extends the tradition of the GeForce family by incorporating it into the GeForce2 MX GPU's.

The Transform & Lighting Engine (T&L)

The GeForce2 MX is the only low cost solution GPU on the market currently to offer this feature and hence takes a full leap ahead of its competitors. NVIDIA were the first company to introduce an integrated T&L engine.

Twinview

With TwinView architecture, GeForce2 MX supports multiple displays on a single GPU. Supporting a variety of display options -- such as digital flat panels, RGB monitors, TVs, and analog flat panels -- provides tailor-made visual solutions for individual needs.
Flexibility doesn't end with the choice of display.

Twinview NVIDIA's unified driver architecture also offers several different modes for using your display set-up. Standard Windows 98 multimonitor support, which spreads the desktop across both displays, Application exclusive, in which an application may be dedicated to one or both monitors, Clone mode, in which monitors show the same output. This mode is useful for presentations, Application zone mode, in which a zoomed-in section of the primary display's image is shown on a secondary display, and Virtual desktop, which supports full pan-and-scan mode, can be configured for one or both displays.

Digital Vibrance Control (DVC)

As NVIDIA puts it "I can see clearly now, DVC has Come", obviously their marketing department has been working overtime, or the majority of it's staff come from the 70's era. Digital Vibrance Control (DVC) As time goes on and our computer usage increases, there is a clear need to improve on the quality of display we should be presented with. NVIDIA has incorporated this feature in the GeForce2 MX enabling it to produce stunning visuals by allowing users to control colour separations and intensity of the visual by means of a control panel.

As the picture shows, the result? Richer colours and brighter, cleaner, more ergonomically pleasing images in all your applications.
